Mike grew up in Ohio and began wrestling from a very early age. Following in his father's foot steps, Mike wrestled D1 for Ohio State while in college, after which he pursued a short career in mixed martial arts, culminating in 2013 with two fights in the UFC. Mike brings not only a technical edge to our standup from high level wrestling pedigree, but adds valuable insight and motivation as a coach, and training as a teammate!
Nima began training in 2007 at Manchester Jiu-jitsu academy after having wrestled four years in High School. Nima received his black belt from Pedro Sauer in 2016, and his first degree in 2019. Nima is a super nice guy who likes to impart his unique personality for the benefit of the class atmosphere. He has a mean arsenal of Head and Arm chokes along with many sneaky techniques that are certain to make your tool kit a lot more deadly!
Born in 1994, Jamie is a life-long martial artist. He started his journey at four years old with Bushido Karate. At the age of 12, Jamie began Tae Kwon Do and at 15 began grappling under David Falcon in Somers. In 2017, Jamie began training under Coach Jordan as a white belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jamie was awarded his blue belt by Coach Jordan in 2019, after which he moved to florida for three years to train under Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu and Vagner Rocha. Jamie returned to The Mill as a Brown Belt in January, 2022
Nick started training under Coach Jordan at the age of 14 in 2017. Since day one Nick has used his intelligence, work ethic and natural athleticism to excel quickly in the sport of Jiu Jitsu. After only three and a half years of trainging, Nick has racked up some formidable competitive achievments not limited to submitting all seven of his opponents on his way to victory of SoGi submission only championship. Nick is a compassionate and kind hearted young man whose passion for Jiu Jitsu and development rub off effortlessly on the children who he coaches at theJiuJitsuMill.
