BJJ Fundamentals – Gi

Develop a Rock Solid, Complete Foundation FAST.
60-75 minute Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class in the Gi intended for the novice student. It will teach the principles of positional advancement, show students how to use frames, levers, wedges and angles to obtain positional dominance, and teach students the solo movements, positional transitions and escapes of central importance to controlling a resisting opponent on the ground. The class will cover how to attack and defend in the Closed Guard, Open Guard, Half Guard, Side Control, Mount, Back Mount and Turtle Position.
Class consists of a 10-15 minute warmup, 30-45 minutes of drilled technique and 10-15 minutes of situational sparring.
