Enhanced Safety Protocol
Physical Distancing
1- Our lobby is closed for seating; our kids program is drop-off only.
2- Utilize distance markers in the Lobby area when queued for scanning in.
3-When entering the gym and during sparring breaks, wear a mask and maintain a social distance of 6ft from other members not in your group.
4-Use of the Locker Room is limited to spaces available indicated by social distancing markers.
Masks
1- We encourage you to bring your own mask, however, we’ll provide acceptable face coverings if you forget one (located on the coffee table).
2-Store your mask in a paper bag between use at the academy. Properly dispose of your mask in lined garbage cans.
3- Coaches will wear a mask when coming within 6ft of you (if you’re not in their “cell”/training group) for your protection.
Hygiene, Cleaning and Disinfection
1-Use hand sanitizer (spray alcohol bottles) upon entering the academy and multiple times throughout your training. Hand sanitizer has a kill time of 60 seconds - allow hands to completely dry before touching anything.
2- Skin safe medical-grade, EPA-registered disinfectants will be used for all cleaning, between group sessions: (1) floor and wall mats, (2) Reception desk surface, (3) Scanner gun, (4) Front door handles inside and outside, (5) Water fountain, (6) all Bathroom surfaces & showers, (7) Locker bench. Deep cleaning will be done each evening.
3-Coaches will ensure ventilation of air with outdoor air to the greatest extent possible.
Communications
1-Confirmation of scheduled training is required. Please accept or decline the Google calendar invite associated with your scheduled training sessions each day. For AM groups - by 5pm the evening prior to your scheduled session For PM groups and Kids classes - by 9am the morning of.
2- You should be in a Facebook Group message char with your “cell” (aka training groups), assisted by Coach Jordan & Coach Nick. If not, let us know.
3- Communication regarding important updates related to COVID-19 will be sent to members’ primary email on file.
4- All coaches and members must contact COACH JORDAN to inform if they later are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms.
Screening and Testing
1-ALWAYS scan yourself in when you come to train, and accept or decline the associated calendar invite so that we can adhere to strict contact tracing should it be necessary.
2- Daily temperature checks will be conducted for children. Per CDC guidelines, individuals with a body temperature greater than 100.4 degrees will not be permitted entry into the academy.
3-Coaches will be required daily to complete a questionnaire that determines whether the have:
a- knowingly been in close or proximate contact in the past 14 days with anyone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19 or who has or had symptoms of COVID-19;
b- tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days; and/or
c- experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Use of Amenities
1-The vending machine remains available for use.
2- Use of the water fountain is limited to automated spout for refilling water bottles.
3- Use of the lobby, including couch and stationary bike are closed until further notice.
4- Bathrooms and showers will remain open and will be thoroughly cleaned between training groups.
If someone is suspected of having COVID, the following procedures will be taken:
1- Closure of the academy for 48 hours to be deep-cleaned and disinfected.
2- Doors open to increase circulation.
3- Coach Jordan will immediately communicate information about individuals, suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 to all impacted members, in compliance with ADA law to protect anonymity.
4- Employees and members without close or proximate contact with the person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 can return to the academy 24 hours after cleaning and disinfection.
